Web Design and Development
I have a lot of interest in web design and development. I like to keep up with current standards set by organisations like the W3C and by modern web developers everywhere.
When I build a web site, I do it completely from scratch. I do not use web authoring software to generate content for me. This way, I know exactly what is going on in every part of the web site. I'm also slightly cocky — I don't like to settle with someone else's work when I know I can do it myself given the time.
I also always make sure that my web sites contain valid XHTML and CSS. This helps to ensure consistency across different browsers as well as forward-compatibility with future web technologies. Furthermore, I am always concerned about the accessibility of a web site. I am sure to use meaningful structures so that the content is completely comprehensible, even in the absense of style information.
